Constantin Gurdgiev is the Associate Professor of Finance with Middlebury Institute of International Studies (California, USA) and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Finance with Trinity College Dublin (Ireland). His expertise and research interests are concentrated in the fields of investment markets, and geopolitical and macro/systemic risk, uncertainty and complexity analysis. Prof. Gurdgiev is a co-Founder and the Board Member of two charities working with the issues of financial empowerment in Ireland. He advises a range of institutional and professional clients in the areas of macro and political risks and uncertainty analysis through his consulting practice, www.macroview.eu.
Prof. Gurdgiev writes a regular column for the Cayman Financial Review and The Currency, and frequently contributes to a range of international financial publications, including International Banker, Euromoney Country Risk, London School of Economics Business Review, and others.
Outside his working hours, he heads for the mountains in search of peaks to scale, and streams to flyfish with his kids.
